We are a community based organisation
which is run by dedicated volunteers that transforms the lives of children and adults
with intellectual disabilities through sport.
Together with the Olympics and Paralympics, Special Olympics is
the third and only other recognised organisation within the ‘Olympic’ family.
It is proven that taking part in the Special Olympics Programme improves the quality of daily life of people with intellectual (learning) disabilities and their families through sport.
